Our 2002 rare and unique grullo stallion, Amberfields StarsNStripes, represents all the Morgan
horse should be. "Rocky" stands just under 15.3 hands
and is loaded with "bone, brains & brawn".
He will throw black 50% of the time (the other 50% being chestnut). He will
also throw the dun factor color modifier 50% of the time, which will result
in red duns, bay duns and grullas, depending in part on the color of
your mare. Rocky is doing wonderfully under saddle and we are in the middle of a 5-year "Bridle Horse Project" with clinician Mike Bridges which will take
us from the snaffle bit to the bosal, and then to the two-rein and finally
into the spade bit.
Rocky is a well balanced, correct, typey and extremely athletic individual. He has just enough attitude to make him a blast to ride, and shows a good aptitude for many disciplines, including cow work. Double registered with both the American Morgan Horse Association and the American Dun Horse Association, Rocky is an outstanding example of the Morgan horse and we look forward to
his many coming accomplishments as a breeding stallion and an ambassador
of the Morgan breed.
