Stallions Foals Mares Breeding Program Sales Links Photo Album Home
Horse TrainingSheridan Enterprises

Our mares are chosen for their temperament & tractable nature as well as their conformation and correctness. Since we're too small to have just "broodmares" all of our mares are broke to ride and some are learning to drive, as well. They all participate in trail rides, shows and sometimes even chasing some cattle around, if we have the opportunity.

Destinea Love
(Desiderata Destiny Spar x Goldie He He)
1995 Liver Chestnut Mare, 15.1 hands

"Desi" is our senior mare and my main squeeze. When she's not very close to delivery or with a foal at her side, she goes everywhere with me. We love the trail and haul out every chance we get. She's shown, worked cattle, done competitive trail rides, and had 5 beautiful foals, including a gorgeous bay dun colt by our grullo stallion.

LSMR Amber Fields of Glory

(Amberfields Desperado x Destinea Love)
2003 Palomino Mare

By the 15.3 hand cremello stallion Amberfields Desperado, Glory should top out at 15.1 hands. Built like a true Morgan with a personality to go along with it, she will undoubtedly be a shining star of our broodmare band & a terrific riding horse as well. She is currently in training and will transition into a bosal soon and will be trained in the old Californio Vaquero tradition. She has had one foal, a beautiful red dun filly, by Rocky, our grullo stallion.

Alpinemist Caramel Ripple
(Successful Sorcerer x Bar D Paloma)
2004 Bay Dun Mare

This bay dun mare is a great addition to our breeding program. Sweet and easy is this mare's way of going! We look forward to crossing her on Rocky, our grulla stallion, as a 4 year old.

Thanks to Laura Behning of Brookridge Morgans of Covington, Georgia for letting us bring her to California!

Fastrak Mexicali Rose
(Fastrak Phoenix X Beaver State Bold QT)
1997 Homozygous Black Mare

Rosie is the latest addition to our breeding program, coming to us in December of 2006. She is a homozygous black mare, which means that her foals will only be black or grulla when crossed on our grulla stallion.
She is a full-bodied, athletic mare with a sweet personality and a big motor!

Rosie is currently on lease to Boyd Morgans of Placerville, CA, and is expecting either a black or grulla foal by Amberfields StarsNStripes in 2008!
